Ulta3 Matte Lipsticks

Hey everyone!

So Ulta3 by the Heat Group is a makeup/beauty brand famous for their lippies and especially their nail polishes. So far I've only owned one colour of their nail polish and the quality is pretty darn good for such an inexpensive price. Naturally, I wanted to try out their lipsticks too as not only are they cheap, they seem to be pretty good, some even comparing them to MAC lipsticks (although, I personally would say MAC wins hands down). Otherwise, for those of you out there who are unwilling to spend loads on lipstick, I say give ulta3 a go!

I bought 2 matte lipsticks, one in the colour Rouge 065 and the other in Nudey 066. It's just a bright red and a nude colour lipstick. I have heard about the colour Harem pink being raved and was tempted to get that, but decided to delay the purchase a bit until I know I am truly satisfied with these products that I can see myself getting another. They cost AUD$3.95 each, and you can get it in most chemist shops.

The packaging is a simple black matte surface (though I can see it being a fuss with a lot of fingerprints on it). They have another range of lipsticks from the 'normal' (non-matte) collection that is $2.95, but I decided to try out the matte ones first.

This is the one in Rouge (red):

And this one is in Nudey (nude):

Review:
The colour payoff is good, the red comes out strong and the nude has a slight pink tinge to it. It is easy to apply, glides on pretty smoothly, however it does transfer pretty easily so always carry them around to do touch ups after eating or throughout the day.

If you are the type who doesn't wanna spend too much on lipsticks, try Ulta3 out. They have such a wide range (and by wide I mean like more than 50 I think) available, and if you want to be experimental with lippie colours and not spend a ton, this is always a good alternative.

Generally I would say they are a-bit-better-than-average lipsticks, not the best, but definitely one of the better drugstore/cheaper makeup brands. Because they are both matte, naturally it's a little drying after application, so do apply a lipbalm before applying the lipstick. Another tip: exfoliate your lips before you put anything on as the matte texture will only bring out the dead skin/chapped lips. Remember to put on lipbalm to soften the lips after exfoliation.

This is all I have for today! Hope you enjoyed this little review :)
